Meeting Aesclepius

I like how we can choose who we want giving it more of a personal feel to the meditation. I also like the long stretch of silence to really get a grasp of things. I was able to relax completely and clear everything within my mind. Meditation has fostered an increase in my psychological and spiritual wellness because it has given me positive thinking, clearer mind throughout the day, and less exhausted after mediating, and overall makes me feel wonderful each week to do so. I can continue to work on applying this even after this class by going on youtube and finding a good mindful exercise and doing so once a week.

To me the saying “One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself” (Dacher, 2006) is how a person cannot tell another where to go if he himself has never experienced it because you do not know what can and cannot happen. This applies in the health and wellness profession for those that do not practice what they preach so they do not know how it can work and give advice accordingly. I do believe I have an obligation to my clients to develop my health psychologically, physically, and spiritually because if I am not balanced how can I have my patients the same way?

I can implement psychological and spiritual growth in my personal life by continuing to do mindful exercises especially when I start to feel stressed however I should be doing it once a week seeing as the difference it has made in just 7 weeks and how it can get stronger and better.
